Labomatic Studios are born 10 years ago on the premises of the old Studios 10 who were very successfull in the 70's.

The Beatles had recorded here the German version of "She loves you" and Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot "Harley Davidson" .(in French...)

In January 1996,
Dominique Blanc-Francard,BoomBass and Sinclair came in to setup the first all digital project studio in Paris, around the new and not yet famous Yamaha 02R.
Next year ,
Benedicte Schmitt joined the team as resident engineer.

After a lot of of work and producing, the limits of the Yamahas were reached and the two studios were upgraded in 2001,using the state of the art equipment available.

Euphonix was the desk choice, with an all digital System 5 for the studio 1 and a analog digital CS 2000 for the studio 2,linked to two ProTools HD3 setups.
Studio 1 is completely ready for 5.1 mixing, and analog recording is also available with a 16/24 tracks
Otari MTR90.

During the next 5 years, the choices were proven to be good.A great number of records made were very successful.

At the end of year 2006,Studio 2 is completely refurbished and equipped with the same gear as studio1.The two studios have exactly the same equipment, outboard and monitoring and are connected to a storage area network. The two control rooms can share the same project to speed up the delivery time,or work on two or more separate projects, wich can be moved from one room to the other without any hassle.

A big collection of various musical instrument in the studios, and a great list of vintage microphones gives Labomatic a powerful way to produce any kind of musical project.

As a project studio, Labomatic is not a commercial studio as you can name it.

Policy of the Labomatic Studios is based on success: the productions which we carry out must sell. If they sell, we reach our goal and that of our customers.Nobody cares about the equipment we use to achieve these goals. The more powerful technology used is, the more the brain has time to be involved in the production. The music, the musicians and the artists should not wait until the technique is ready when you have to record a performance.
